This small mixed planter will thrive inside with bright, direct light or put it outside once all danger of frost has passed. With this planter, you actually get a total of 3 different plants: Rocky Mountain orange geranium, Purple Heart and Spider Plant. It needs to be watered 2-3 times per week and potted up in 2-3 months. 

The soil is topped with red granite gravel and it comes with a big piece of Rocky Mountain rose quartzite from the San Luis Valley. We also include a decorative grapevine heart. The container is 4 inches in diameter and stands 10 inches tall with the plants. 

This mixed planter comes in a black cylindrical ceramic container with white stripes for a modern feel. There is no drainage hole, so we put a nice layer of gravel at the bottom to help with drainage. All of our containers and vases are up-cycled from second-hand sources. We believe in the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, or finding beauty in the imperfections. This allows us to rescue slightly used but still in really good condition containers and give them new purpose.

We start all of our plants from cuttings that we take from our large houseplant collection. We root them with homemade willow rooting hormone, plant them with cinnamon in high-quality fox farm potting soil, and care for them tenderly while they grow under natural sunlight.
