This luscious body butter is made in small batches with high quality oils and body butters. We infuse the oils with our homegrown botanical flowers and herbs to impart their unique qualities.
We combine shea butter and cocoa butter for smooth and creamy texture. Both butters are unrefined and 100% pure. The shea butter is sustainably made by co-ops of Ghanian women in West Africa. It contains anti-inflammatory and healing properties which can condition, tone, and soothe the skin. Cocoa butter is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids and great for repairing scars or stretch marks. It also has a wonderful chocolate scent.
We use a blend of organic coconut oil, organic sunflower oil, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil and almond oil. Each oil provides different benefits for the skin. Coconut oil and sunflower oil work well for combination skin. Coconut oil is high in antioxidants and vitamin E. Sunflower oil offers hydration and oil moderation. Avocado oil and almond oil are added for an extra kick of moisture. Avocado oil boosts collagen production and contains vitamins A, D and E. Almond oil is full of proteins, minerals and vitamin E. Macadamia oil contains a lot of oleic acid, which is great for softening the skin, regenerating skin cells and is a natural anti-inflammatory. We finish it off with a little organic vitamin E oil for it’s health benefits as well as its preservation qualities.
We infuse these oils with our homegrown rose petals, rosehips, peach blossoms and calendula flowers. Each provides natural benefits to the skin, as well as deeper qualities to heal and revitalize on a metaphysical level.
Roses are ancestral messengers of love that have been revered since ancient Egypt. Fossil remnants suggest they may be over 35 million years old. For the flowers, we use a combination of pink, white and deep red petals. Pink rose petals speak of self-love and remind us we are perfect, exactly as we are. White rose petals represent purity and help us to let go of old structures to make room for the new. Red rose petals, connected to the root chakra, draw us towards a deep connection with another and enhance passion and romance. Their scent is simultaneously sweet and sultry, symbolizing the many layers in which love expresses itself.
For a full spectrum hit of rose, we also use the rosehips along with the petals. We wait until the rosehips are kissed by frost to increase their potency. The hips contain the seed of the rose plant – the primal love code within. They resonate a deeper energy that asks one to follow their gut and make love important. The combination of the flowers and hips signifies the lifecycle of the rose and the reminder that appearances may change over time, but the underlying frequency of love is always there.
Peach Blossoms resonate a frequency of unselfishness, of giving freely without condition. They speak of an expansive love that cares deeply for others, recognizing personal success depends on the welfare of the whole. They are one of the earliest blooms to appear and welcome the time of year when the consciousness of flowers rules the plant world.
On the surface, calendula is excellent at healing and protecting the skin, yet its power goes much deeper. It also has an affinity towards healing and protecting our energetic aura as well. It has the ability to let loving frequencies in while keeping lower ones at bay. It’s bright orange and yellow petals resonate with the solar plexus chakra, increasing vitality and naturally raising energy levels.
Love is all you need. Love Butter, that is.
